Happy Birthday, Dad, with love from your Ohio branch. "Pater Familias" joyfully celebrated with us at our wedding on July 12, 1988. Since that time he has traveled to Ohio to welcome Amelia (1993) and Miriam (1996). We were also honored to play host to the parents this winter for Christmas, as well as celebrating 50 years of being a family. 

They were not deterred from driving out despite the winter storm that dumped 16 inches of snow on Oberlin!! Their visit was made extra special by staying at Shurtleff Cottage, a beautiful bed and breakfast just up Professor Street from us. Doris still asks about you!

So Happy Birthday, Grandpa!! Long may you wave!!
